Welcome to my website

Hello everyone. I am Jasper K. Juhl, a 28 year old born and raised in Denmark. Currently, I am working as a Client Executive at IBM, where I am responsible for our Large Enterprise accounts in the Houston Oil & Gas industry. Previous to this job, I was at IBM's Danish headquarters, which is located in Copenhagen, Denmark. Here, I worked as a Sales Specialist in IBM's High Performance Computing business unit, which is a part of IBM Systems and Technology Group. In 2007, I sold the two largest clusters in Denmark and was on European TV a number of times as an IBM Technology Spokesperson.

Before I was hired by IBM, I was a postgraduate student at the School of Management at University of Bath, a top-ranked business School in England. Here I completed the MSc in Management degree, which gave me a much broader understanding of management and business development. My stay in the UK was financially supported by a number of leading Danish and English organisations including Oticon, Aalborg University and a scholarship from the School of Management.

Before I went to England, I finished my Masters Thesis at Aalborg University, Denmark in the field of computer science. For my Masters I designed, implemented and tested Direct Optimizer, which is a new approach for optimizing results of direct marketing campaigns. Direct Optimizer showed to perform clearly better than existing methods and also differentiates by its lower costs since the approach is fully automatic. Atteno A/S is currently offering Direct Optimizer and, you are more than welcome to contact them if you wish to gain a clearer understanding about how you can develop a closer relationship with your potential and existing customers at reduced costs.

Before my studies at Aalborg University, I had a full-time job as a software developer at Information Technology Solution (ITL). During that period I participated in developing Bestseller's extranet, which was used worldwide in their Jack & Jones, Only and Vero Moda shops.

Links to my projects and descriptions of my work and my contact information are located below. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.

Selected Systems and Projects I have been involved in:

2006: The world is your oyster - as far the job market goes
Future People: A national-wide campaign in which a one-page interview of me with pictures was placed in two major Danish news papers, Jyllands Posten and Politiken, by the not-for-profit corporation IT-Vest. The aim was to increase the interest for higher IT Education in Denmark by showing the variety of opportunities graduates gain after gaining a degree in IT.

    2004: Heurika spotted by ComputerWorld
Heurika was designed and developed as a university project by me and four of my friends. It's a shared file system that elimates the need for a central file server. This is done by applying peer-to-peer technology in a software program that appears like a traditional network drive. By doing so, we were able to design a system that runs faster and more reliable than if traditional file servers were used.

2003: eAds hits 3 billion banner servings
eAds is a Danish system owned and developed by ITL. The system allows users to track and manage their online banner campaigns and was developed in 2001 at which time I was responsible for all ITL's product offerings and development. As part of this job, I developed and launched the system, which showed to do very well; - by 2003 it had shown banners more than 3 billion times.

    2000: Bestseller's extranet launched
Bestseller is a global company with more than 3,200 shops and over 15,000 employees worldwide. As part of my job at ITL, I was managing this key account and responsible for the development of their extranet. The system was used worldwide by shop owners and managers to control their inventory and compare the performance of their shops. The system was replaced some years after I left ITL due to a strategic change.
