Vision
The vision was to develop Denmark’s most advanced tool for the handling of banner advertisements on the Internet. The aim was to use the tool for ITL’s own services but also for current and future customers.
Method
We began by analysing existing foreign systems and comparing these to our own experience of advertisement sales. Based on this analysis, we were able to complete the plan for the functionality of both the free version of the system and the fee-paying version and start development.
Due to the fact that, potentially, there would be a large number of hits in a relatively short time, it was important to focus on performance from the very beginning.
The solution was programmed in ASP with contact to an MS SQL server.
Result
With its thousands of users and the handling of billions of banner viewings, eAds.dk must be considered a success.
eAds offers banner exposure in the usual GIF formats as well as FLASH banners and rolling banners. The system provides an option for the sale of advertising space for affiliates (advertisers) and access for affiliates using a separate login. eAds is available as a free version and as a fee-paying version.
